I am a Professor of Medicine at Boston University, the Director of Graduate Studies in genetics and genomics, a Fullbright Specialist, an Assistant Dean of Diversity & Inclusion, an Assistant Dean of Admissions, and an author.
I aim to educate students in biomedicine and its deep connections with bias while fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment. My upcoming book, Where Biology Ends and Bias Begins: Lessons on Belonging from our DNA discusses these topics and much more.
